Austin Fertility Specialist, Anthony Propst, MD, Providing Excellence in Diagnosis and Treatment
Dr. Anthony Propst has nearly 20 years of experience practicing reproductive medicine. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Propst served his country as vice chairman and director of continuing medical education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at both Keesler USAF Medical Center and Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center.
Dr. Propst is a former vice chairman of the Armed Forces District for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Previously, he was the chairman of the Air Force Section of the Armed Forces District for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as chief consultant to the USAF Surgeon General for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Propst has received numerous awards, including America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Aerospace Medicine Primary Course’s Leadership Award and the Fellow Award for Best Scientific Paper in Urogynecology.
Dr. Propst is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society.
After an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, and his fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Brigham and Women’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Propst’s research has appeared in numerous publications, on subjects including in vitro fertilization, tubo-ovarian abscess and endometriosis. He frequently presents his findings at medical society gatherings on topics ranging from intrauterine insemination to post-operative pain management.
