Glen Adaniya PhD

Glen Adaniya PhD is at the helm of our IVF lab

Glen Adaniya PhD is the laboratory director at Ovation® Fertility Indianapolis. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University, and he completed his graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. There, he received a master’s of science and a PhD in biomedical engineering.

Extensive training in assisted reproductive technology

While training for two years in the assisted reproductive technology (ART) laboratory at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, he worked on his PhD thesis on the development of artificial membranes for the encapsulation of zona free embryos.

Glen Adaniya PhD then moved to Boston, where he served as the senior embryologist at the Center for Assisted Reproduction at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for five years. He was also jointly appointed to the faculty of Harvard Medical School during his time in Boston. He moved to Indianapolis in 1998 to join Midwest Fertility Specialists as the ART and Andrology/Endocrine laboratory director.

His background in ART is extensive, and he oversees all aspects of the ART laboratory at our Ovation Fertility Indianapolis, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), preimplantation genetic screening (PGS), preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), and cryopreservation of eggs and embryos.

Glen Adaniya PhD is the author of many publications, book chapters and abstracts, including research on the benefits of electing cryopreservation of surplus embryos and the effects of varying preparations of semen for ART procedures.

Glen Adaniya PhD is an active member of numerous professional societies

He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Association of Bioanalysts, the American Society of Andrology, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.

He is also board certified as a High-Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) and an Embryology Laboratory Director (ELD) by the American Board of Bioanalysis.

Glen Adaniya PhD is married with three daughters. He enjoys tennis, hiking and playing guitar.
