Laura Aceituno, Director of Human Resources
Laura Aceituno is responsible for Ovation’s human resources function, leading all HR-related operations for our fast-growing, nationwide organization and its ancillary businesses and service lines. An integral member of our leadership team, she joined the company in 2019 as human resources manager and our first HR leader, creating the foundation for the HR function that today supports more than 250 employees at more than 20 locations.
Aceituno leads the day-to-day operations of Ovation’s nationwide HR function, including employee relations, compensation and benefit administration in multiple markets, talent management, policy development and implementation, and regulatory compliance. She supports the people-management aspects of Ovation’s nationwide automation and systems integration projects, as well as the company’s internal, online portal for all employees. Her areas of special expertise include risk management strategies and compliance, human resources information systems design and implementation, employment law, and training and development to ensure that Ovation continues to recruit and retain the best talent in the field of reproductive science.
Prior to joining Ovation, Aceituno was a senior human resources generalist for SAG AFTRA Health Plan and SAG Producers Pension Plan. Earlier in her career, she was a human resources operations manager for Austim Spectrum Therapies and a human resources generalist for the blood services company HemaCare Corporation.
Aceituno earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and human resources management from Loyola Marymount University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is a SHRM Certified Professional. She also holds several other HR certifications, including an Advanced Human Resource Management Certificate from California State University Northridge, a Professional Human Resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, a Training Certification from the Association for Talent Development, and a Leadership Architect Certification and 360° Performance and Development Certification from Korn Ferry.
