Dr. Chelsey Leisinger, Laboratory Director When the Grand Rapids lab joined Ovation^® Fertility, they became part of a larger network of laboratories. However, this lab is no stranger to being a part of big things, as they’ve long been helping patients become parents.

When asked how they do it for this month’s Connect to Purpose, Off-Site Laboratory Director Dr. Chelsey Leisinger highlighted a few key characteristics. “The Grand Rapids team is stellar in terms of communication and adaptation. They are also resilient to the constant change in our lab and the field.”

Every day, the team works hard to bring the joy of parenthood through innovative science. They do this by ensuring they have smooth communication, clear direction and consistent responses to our growing patient population and clinical teams.

“Each member is dedicated and passionate about their position, and everyone is always willing to step up and help one another out,” Dr. Leisinger explains.

Speaking of stepping up, Dr. Leisinger highlights Lab Manager Delphine Dor as someone who goes above and beyond for the patients who rely on Ovation’s family-building services. “She works with our team to accomplish tasks of all shapes and sizes that have a big impact on patient outcomes.”

Specifically, Dr. Leisinger mentions a time when Delphine provided hands-on support during an alarm that went off at 1:00 in the morning. “When alarms go off, it represents something big. Specifically, it’s a sign that family-building dreams could be in danger. Thankfully, Delphine is well aware of this and was able to successfully fix the issue.”

When Delphine isn’t responding to late-night alarms and collaborating with her team to keep everything running smoothly in the lab, she organizes team-building activities. From summer cookouts to Board and Brush painting events, Ovation Grand Rapids is always finding ways to connect to their purpose and each other both inside and outside of work.
