Mark Bye Is a Partner of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (MSCP) and Morgan Stanley Energy Partners (MSEP)

Based in New York, Mark Bye joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 and was previously chief executive officer of Dystar, GmBH, a specialty chemicals company providing dyes, pigments and services to the textile, paper and plastics industries.

Prior to Dystar, Bye spent 23 years at Air Products and Chemicals (NYSE: APD), where he held a number of executive positions, including group vice president of the $7 billion global Gases & Equipment Group, president of Air Products Asia, and vice president of the Performance Chemicals Division. Prior to this, he held management positions at Union Carbide Corporation and Energy Investments, LLC.

In addition to serving as a board director for Ovation^® Fertility, Bye serves on the boards of Carus Corporation, LifeAire Systems, PPC Flexible Packaging, Comar, Sterling Energy, M.G. Bryan, XRI and Specialized Desanders. He was previously on the boards of McKechnie Aerospace, Breitenfeld AG and Trinity CO2, and is active in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Bye holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
