Chris Barrington, Vice President of Operations

Based in Los Angeles, California, Christopher Barrington works closely with Ovation labs and other facilities to help lab directors meet the company’s business goals. He also plays an important role in developing relationships with Ovation partner physicians and other referral sources to ensure that Ovation’s services deliver exactly what each provider needs.

Barrington joined Ovation in October 2021 after spending over a decade in healthcare management. Before joining Ovation, he was regional operations director for DaVita Kidney Care in Los Angeles, California. There, he managed a portfolio of 20 hospitals, where he used his relationship building skills to strengthen hospital and physician relationships during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic.

Before that, he held several other positions as he rose through the ranks at DaVita Kidney Care. He started with DaVita in a front-line manager role in Northern California, and eventually served as a backup finance manager for Northern California, Washington, Idaho, and Nevada. In these roles, he increased the adjusted margin and improved the overall retention rate.

Earlier in his healthcare career, Barrington ran the staffing office and nursing float pool operations for the UCLA Health System. Before that, he held the position of staffing coordinator and patient care technician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He began his professional career in retail management before he decided to transition into healthcare.

Barrington holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from The Ohio State University, with a focus in pre-med. He also has a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
