With an expert understanding of the fertility care payer environment – including state and private third-party reimbursement policies and pricing structures – she oversees all aspects of Ovation’s revenue cycle, from verification to authorization, billing and collections.

Bien joined Ovation in February 2021, bringing extensive executive-level revenue cycle experience and a solid understanding of the complete healthcare revenue cycle in the context of the fertility care specialty. With more than 25 years of experience in medical management, she has worked with nearly every patient touchpoint, from provider offices to hospital outpatient departments, institutions, long-term care, home health, integrated hospital health systems, pharmacy benefit management, and specialty pharmacy providers.

Previously, she served as director, revenue cycle and finance, for Fertility Centers of Illinois. In that role, she had complete oversight of the organization’s revenue cycle, while working to maximize collection of patient services revenue. Earlier in her career, she was a neurology practice manager for NorthShore University HealthSystem, where she later transitioned into a role as director of revenue cycle design, responsible for the patient financial experience and implementation of revenue cycle workflows across 94 integrated front office teams.

She began her management career in the medical field at Abbott Laboratories, where she served both as a market research analyst and as a district manager leading sales teams.
