Catherine Gordon MD Provides Compassionate and Effective Fertility Care

As an Irvine fertility doctor, Catherine Gordon MD feels honored to help her patients realize their family-building goals. She diagnoses and treats female and male infertility and helps patients preserve their fertility at the Fertility Center of Southern California. To help patients become parents, she offers treatments including IVF, ovulation induction, elective and medical fertility preservation, third party reproduction, and LGBTQ fertility care. She also treats hopeful parents who are facing recurrent pregnancy loss and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Dr. Gordon understands the fertility treatment process can be daunting. As a result, she takes a compassionate and personalized approach to fertility care. She ensures that her patients understand their treatment options so that they can make informed decisions. Once a patient has selected a family-building method, Dr. Gordon guides them through every step of the journey.

Catherine Gordon MD graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors from the University of Southern California. She then earned her medical degree with research distinction from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. Additionally, she received the Joseph A. DeCenzo Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

This Irvine fertility doctor completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of California Irvine. There, she was the administrative chief of education and received the Phillip J. DiSaia Society Teaching Award for Excellence.

For her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Catherine Gordon MD attended Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. During her time there, Harvard medical students awarded her the Outstanding Teacher of Obstetrics and Gynecology Award.

Catherine Gordon MD Works to Advance the Field

While this Irvine fertility doctor is especially passionate about helping her patients overcome infertility, she is also committed to advancing the field of reproductive medicine. She has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and three book chapters.

Dr. Gordon also earned the NEFS Ferring Grant and the BWH Expanding the Boundaries Grant. These grants supported her research about optimizing IVF and fertility preservation outcomes. She believes this type of research is important because it improves fertility care for patients everywhere.

In addition to advancing the field through research, Dr. Gordon is also involved in advocacy efforts nationally and regionally. She believes that everyone should have access to fertility treatment and preservation options and she works diligently to advance legislation to improve access to care.
