Austin Fertility Specialist Kaylen Silverberg, MD: IVF Physician and Ovation Leader

Kaylen Silverberg, M.D., has devoted his life to advancing the field of reproductive medicine through research, leadership, advocacy and best-practice clinical care. He is the medical director and managing partner of Texas Fertility Center’s practices in Austin, San Antonio and New Braunfels, Texas, and has raised the standard of IVF care through his collaboration with Ovation® Fertility Austin and other Ovation IVF laboratories and partner physicians.

As one of Ovation’s founding physician partners, Dr. Silverberg has taken a leading role in guiding Ovation’s strategy and ensuring our organization’s continued innovation and growth. He is one of two physician leaders on Ovation’s board of directors, where he works alongside our management team and members of the executive team from Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, our financial partner, to guide our company forward.

A recognized IVF physician leader

A Dallas native, Dr. Silverberg graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in finance and molecular biology, attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and returned to Vanderbilt for his OBGYN residency. He completed his fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology/infertility at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he remained as a full-time faculty member for three years prior to entering private practice.

Dr. Silverberg is a board certified fertility specialist, recognized for serving in top leadership posts, including three terms on the board of directors for the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART). He has performed extensive research and has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as multiple textbook chapters on topics ranging from endometriosis to IVF. Dr. Silverberg is also a frequent lecturer at national and international fertility meetings.

A highly trained and skilled surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive fertility surgery, Dr. Silverberg’s special areas of clinical expertise include ovulation induction for in vitro fertilization, male factor infertility, and protocol development for the cost-effective diagnosis and treatment of infertility.

Dr. Silverberg serves as a consultant in the areas of healthcare strategy and policy to several Fortune 500 companies, 4 United States Congressmen, private equity and venture capital firms, and numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He is a recurring recipient of Best Doctors™ and Super Doctors™ awards, and is especially proud to have received a Family Building Award from the American Fertility Association and a Certificate of Appreciation for “selfless and dedicated service” from the U.S. Secretary of the Army for his care of service men and women. .
